We mourn the loss of our long-time partner Dr. Jochen Berninghaus. The respected lawyer was suddenly and unexpectedly torn from life on the evening of August 25th 2020.
Dr. Jochen Berninghaus had worked for us for almost 20 years and had a significant influence on the positive development of the past decades. He was regarded as one of the best and most renowned corporate and tax lawyers in Germany and as such has received several awards. As an advisor to medium-sized companies, managing directors and top managers, he was valued for his negotiating power, passion, untiring commitment, professional competence and perseverance. His successes have considerably strengthened the reputation of the firm.
We are shocked and saddened by the death of our long-standing colleague. With his death we are not only losing an excellent lawyer, but above all a wonderful person and friend. Our deepest sympathy goes to his wife and family, whom we wish much strength in these difficult times. He leaves a large gap in the firm, both professionally and personally. We will miss him.
